Google Business Profile

Connect Google Business Profile to monitor reviews and location details. Review replies are a separate rule, not a live chat channel.

Google Business Profile#

This page covers deploying Google Business Profile. The Deploy card is marked Beta. Connecting it lets AlonChat list your locations and show Google reviews. It is not a customer chat channel, and it is not Google Calendar.

Connecting the profile does not post review replies. Reply behavior is set on Review Rules, not by the connection itself.

What connecting does#

You need a Google Business Profile with at least one location, and owner or manager access. Only Messenger and Instagram import old chats. This connection does not.

Connect#

Open Deploy → Google Business.
Click Connect and continue in Google.
When the account is connected, open it from Deploy.

The same account is listed under Settings → Connections. Listing content stays on Locations. Sync pulls listing updates from Google. Reply behavior stays on Review Rules.

Reviews open in Activity under Reviews.

Review replies#

Review Rules and Escalations manage the same live rules. A safe start is draft-and-approve: the agent writes a reply, and you approve it before it posts.

Auto reply	A matching review can be answered without approval

Signal	Replies when
Low rating	The review is 1 or 2 stars
Positive sentiment	The review is clearly positive
Neutral sentiment	The review is neutral
Negative sentiment	The review reads as unhappy

Low ratings are public. Keep a person on those drafts even if other reviews are allowed to post. Teach the business and try a private question before you let any review reply post on its own. See Testing Your Agent.
