Social Feed#
Your social posts are full of useful information — promos, new products, announcements, hours changes. The Social Feed source pulls your Facebook and Instagram posts into AlonChat so that knowledge isn't trapped on your timeline. Find it under Sources > Social Feed.
How It Works#
- Sync your recent Facebook and Instagram posts.
- AlonChat suggests what to do with each post:
- Knowledge — durable info worth keeping (a service, a policy)
- Temporary update — time-limited info like a promo or sale, saved as time-sensitive content
- Review — needs your judgment
- Ignore — not useful as knowledge
- Create knowledge or temporary-update entries from the posts you choose.
- Track what's been created, and revert anything you change your mind about.
Why Use It#
- Customers often ask about something you already posted — now the agent can answer from it.
- Promos and announcements become answerable without re-typing them.
- It keeps your agent current with what you're actively sharing publicly.
Review Posts vs. Created Items#
The Social Feed has two zones:

| Review Posts | Synced posts you haven't acted on yet |
| Created from Posts | Knowledge and updates you've made from posts (with a bulk revert option) |
Good to Know#
- Temporary updates from posts can be set to expire, so old promos don't linger in answers. See Time-Sensitive Content.
- Social Feed is about your own posts as knowledge. To moderate comments on those posts, see Comments & Reviews.
