Add promotions, closures, and other dated facts that the agent uses only while they are in effect
Time-Sensitive Content#
Time-sensitive content is a promotion, closure, event, price change, or other fact with a start and an end. It lives in Agent Studio → Data sources, separate from permanent text, approved Q&A answers, and the voice in Learned Style.
A Facebook or Instagram post can become a draft of this content from Social Feed. That draft is not active until you review it here.
Add an update#
- Open Agent Studio → Data sources.
- Choose Add source, then Time-sensitive.
- Choose Add New.
- Enter a title and the full update, including codes, conditions, and links.
- Set the validity period. Turn on Ongoing / No expiration only when the update should stay active without an end date.
- For a repeating update, set the days or dates and the hours it applies.
- Save, then check the status before testing.
An update you add here is saved as Active and may then show Indexing while it is prepared for chat. A temporary update created from Social Feed is saved as Draft and is not used. The list can be filtered by promotions, stock, hours, events, announcements, price changes, and similar updates. The filter does not change whether an item is in effect.
Status#
| Status | What it means |

| Indexing | The update is active and still being prepared for chat. Wait, then test. |
| Active | Prepared, and used only during its dates and hours. A future start date is not in effect yet. |
| Needs attention | It could not be prepared for chat. Choose Retry indexing. |
| Paused | You turned it off without deleting it. Activate turns it back on. |
| Expired | The end has passed. It is left out of answers. |
| Archived | Kept for reference and hidden from the active list. |
Pause an active item to stop it immediately without changing the dates. Edit the end date to extend it or end it early. Delete it only when you do not need the record. A draft can be edited, archived, or deleted. It stays unused until its status is no longer Draft.
Expired items stay out of answers. Archive or delete them when you no longer want them in the list.

Do not leave two active updates that contradict each other. Source Health can flag stale or conflicting facts, but you still choose which source wins.
