Time-Sensitive Content
Manage content that expires or changes over time
Time-Sensitive Content#
Time-Sensitive Content allows you to add information with expiration dates, ensuring your agent never gives outdated answers.
What is Time-Sensitive Content?#
Some information is only valid for a limited time:
- Promotions and sales
- Event announcements
- Limited-time offers
- Seasonal information
- Temporary policies
Time-Sensitive Content automatically expires, preventing your agent from mentioning outdated offers.
Adding Time-Sensitive Content#
- Go to your agent dashboard
- Navigate to Sources → Time-Sensitive
- Click Add Content
- Enter the content
- Set the expiration date and time
- Save
Content Fields#
| Field | Description | Required |
|---|---|---|
| Title | Brief description | Yes |
| Content | Full information for the agent | Yes |
| Start Date | When content becomes active | Optional |
| End Date | When content expires | Yes |
| Priority | High priority = shown first | Optional |
How It Works#
- Active: Content is available to the agent during the valid period
- Expired: After the end date, content is automatically hidden
- Scheduled: If start date is set, content waits until that date
Examples#
Sale Announcement#
Code
Title: Summer Sale 2024
Content: "We're having a Summer Sale with 30% off all items.
Use code SUMMER30 at checkout."
Start: July 1, 2024
End: July 31, 2024
Event Promotion#
Code
Title: Webinar Registration
Content: "Join our free webinar on AI in Customer Service.
Register at alonchat.com/webinar"
Start: January 15, 2024
End: January 20, 2024 (date of webinar)

Best Practices#

- Kept for 30 days for reference
- Then permanently deleted
