Control realtime voice conversations in the widget, dashboard help desk, and onboarding
Voice#
Voice lets customers talk to your agent in realtime instead of typing. The agent answers out loud using your trained business knowledge.
Voice is available on eligible plans. When your plan does not include voice, the Voice page shows an upgrade prompt and the controls are locked.
Accessing Voice Settings#
- Go to your agent dashboard
- Click Settings > Voice
The page shows a status badge -- Available when your plan includes voice, or Requires {plan} when it does not.
What Voice Does Today#
Realtime voice answers questions using your trained knowledge base. It does not perform bookings or other dashboard actions yet -- use the chat channels for actions.
Surface Toggles#
The Voice page has one master toggle plus three surface-specific toggles. Surface toggles are greyed out until the master toggle is on.

| Enable voice | Master toggle. Turns realtime voice on or off for this agent across all supported surfaces. |
| Onboarding voice | Allow voice during guided onboarding so new users can set up faster. |
| Help desk voice | Show the voice call button inside the internal dashboard help desk. |
| Widget voice | Show the voice call button in the public chat widget on your website. |
Voice & Language#
| Setting | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Agent voice | Pick the voice personality used for realtime replies (e.g. a warm or balanced tone). |
| Speech locale | Pronunciation locale -- Auto (follows market/language style), English (US), or Filipino (Philippines). This changes how words sound, not which words are used. |
| Voice language style | The same language preset used in AI Settings (English, Taglish, Filipino, etc.) controls which words the agent chooses. |
Speech locale affects accent and pronunciation; language style affects word choice and code-switching.
Session Limit#
Max session duration -- a slider that caps how long a voice call can last before it ends automatically. Useful to prevent runaway sessions and to keep credit usage predictable.
Plan Gating#
When your plan does not include voice, the Voice page displays:
- A Requires {plan} badge in the header
- An upgrade prompt card explaining the block
- Locked toggles (you can see the settings but not change them)
Upgrade from the Plans page in project settings.
Privacy and Security#
- Voice sessions are encrypted in transit
- Recordings are not stored long term
- You can disable voice at any time
