Facebook Import#

Import your Facebook Page conversations to train your AI agent on real customer interactions.

Overview#

Facebook Import allows you to:

  • Analyze past conversations from your Facebook Page
  • Extract Q&A patterns automatically
  • Learn your communication style from real responses
  • Build knowledge base from actual customer questions

Prerequisites#

Before importing, ensure you have:

  • ✅ Facebook Page connected to AlonChat
  • ✅ Admin access to the Facebook Page
  • ✅ At least 50 conversations for best results

How to Import#

Step 1: Navigate to Chat Training#

  1. Go to your agent dashboard
  2. Click Sources in the sidebar
  3. Select Chat Training

Step 2: Connect Facebook (if not already)#

  1. Click Connect Facebook
  2. Log in to Facebook when prompted
  3. Select your business page
  4. Grant required permissions

Step 3: Select Conversations#

  1. Click Import from Facebook
  2. Set date range (last 30 days recommended to start)
  3. Review conversation preview
  4. Click Analyze Conversations

Step 4: Review Extracted Q&As#

AlonChat's AI will extract:

  • Common questions customers ask
  • Your typical responses
  • Patterns in your communication

Review each extracted Q&A pair:

  • ✅ Approve - Add to knowledge base
  • ✏️ Edit - Modify before adding
  • ❌ Reject - Skip this pair

Step 5: Train Your Agent#

  1. After reviewing, click Add to Knowledge Base
  2. Go to agent settings
  3. Click Train to incorporate new knowledge

Privacy & Security#

Your data is protected:

  • 🔒 Encrypted during import
  • 🔒 Processed within your account only
  • 🔒 Never shared with other users
  • 🔒 Deletable at any time

Customer PII (names, emails) is automatically anonymized.

Best Practices#

  1. Start with recent conversations - Last 30-90 days
  2. Review carefully - Quality over quantity
  3. Edit answers - Improve before adding
  4. Re-import periodically - Capture new patterns
  5. Combine with Q&A pairs - Fill gaps manually

Troubleshooting#

"No conversations found"#

  • Check if Facebook Page is connected
  • Verify date range has messages
  • Ensure page has Messenger enabled

"Import failed"#

  • Try refreshing Facebook connection
  • Check your permissions
  • Contact support if persists
